CARECLOUD LIVE PATIENT
OVERVIEW
CareCloud Live was a patient-facing telehealth application developed during the COVID-19 pandemic to enable secure, real-time communication between patients and providers. Designed with a mobile-first approach, patients could join virtual visits through the Breeze portal or via secure links sent by providers.
This solution addressed a critical gap in CareCloud’s platform, supporting continuity of care and expanding access to remote healthcare services during a time of critical demand.
SPRINT: 3 weeks
TEAM: 2 UX/UI Designer & 6 Developers
TOOLS: Sketch, Invision App, Trello, and Jira
Methodologies: Lean UX, Agile, Ideation, Kanban, Feature Prioritization, MVP, Whiteboarding, Storymapping, A/B Testing
ROLE: Lead UX/UI Designer
As the lead designer for CareCloud Live, I defined the MVP and core feature set for the telehealth application, translating requirements into intuitive, user-centered interfaces while ensuring alignment with CareCloud’s design system for consistency across the platform.
To inform design decisions, I conducted a competitive audit of established video conferencing platforms, including Zoom, Slack, Google Meet, Skype, FaceTime, BlueJeans, and Microsoft Teams, analyzing interaction patterns, layouts, and workflows to guide a consistent and intuitive user experience.
I prioritized essential telehealth functions, including connection stability, user permissions, device settings, and audio/visual performance to ensure a reliable experience. I collaborated closely with product, engineering, and stakeholders to iterate quickly and deliver a solution that addressed a critical gap within the CareCloud suite and was well received by both providers and patients.
